Multifamily & mixed-use electrical.

Ground-up unit wiring, common areas, amenities, and occupied unit rehabs—multifamily electrical at scale, sequenced around residents and leasing. Over 5,000 units wired.

Overview

Unit by unit, at scale.

Multifamily electrical is a game of repetition and coordination. Hundreds of identical units, shared infrastructure, amenity spaces, and a leasing schedule that doesn't wait—the contractor who wins is the one who can run the same quality across every unit while holding the build schedule. Pillars Electric has wired over 5,000 units across Texas, ground-up and occupied renovation alike.

From a 512-unit modernization to ground-up communities, we handle units, corridors, amenities, and site work—everything from the device in the unit to the lighting at the property line. As the electrical arm of a commercial construction group, we sequence around residents, leasing, and the GC's turnover schedule. See our new construction scope for the full build approach.

What We Power

The multifamily scope.

01

Unit wiring & turnover

Rough-in, device trim, panels, and metering across hundreds of units—run with the consistency repetition demands and turned over to schedule.

02

Common areas & amenities

Corridors, clubhouses, fitness and pool areas, leasing offices, and parking—the shared spaces that sell the property.

03

Site & service infrastructure

Service entrance, house panels, site lighting, and the distribution backbone the whole community runs on.

04

Occupied unit rehabs

Rewires, panel swaps, and modernization in occupied buildings—phased unit-by-unit around residents and leasing.

How We Approach It

Consistency across every unit.

The same standard in unit 101 and unit 412. The risk in multifamily is drift—quality that slips as the crew tires of the same task. We run the work so the last unit is wired to the same standard as the first, because the punch list and the warranty calls live in that gap.

We plan around leasing and residents. In occupied renovation, the schedule has people living in it. We phase the work, plan the shutdowns, and turn units back over on time so leasing keeps moving and residents stay informed.

Questions

Common questions.

Do you wire ground-up multifamily as well as renovations?+
Both. We handle ground-up apartment and mixed-use construction—units, common areas, and amenities—and occupied unit rehabs and rewires, with the phasing planned around residents and leasing.
How many units can you handle?+
At scale. We've wired over 5,000 units across Texas multifamily, including large projects like a 512-unit modernization and a 388-unit community.
Can you work in occupied buildings?+
Yes. Occupied unit rehabs are a core part of our work. We plan shutdowns and unit turnover around residents so the rest of the property keeps operating and leasing continues.
Do you handle the common areas and amenities too?+
Yes. Corridors, parking, amenity spaces, leasing offices, and site lighting are part of the scope—everything from the unit to the property line.
